Practicing God’s will and calling in daily life. Dr. Veith, the author of this book, is a cultural studies scholar who explains the Reformation’s concept of “calling,” based on Biblical teachings. He argues that the focus of “calling” is not on how one should use their time or what kind of career one is called to, but rather on the work God wants to accomplish in His calling to people, and how He wants to tell us through His calling that whatever mission He gives us, He Himself is at work in it—whether in the workplace, family, church, or society. This book provides a clear and solid spiritual framework to help readers reflect on these important questions.

作者簡介 About the Author
小吉恩·愛德華·維斯是一位退休的英語教授和大學行政人員，曾任教於帕特里克·亨利學院和威斯康辛州康考迪亞大學。他著有二十七本書，包括《真實的基督教：路德宗神學如何與後現代世界對話》、《恐怖主義時代的基督教》和《上帝的作為》。他擁有堪薩斯大學的博士學位，目前與妻子傑奎琳住在聖路易斯。他有三個已成年的子女和十二個孫子。
Gene Edward Veith, Jr. is a retired English professor and college administrator, most recently at Patrick Henry College and Concordia University, Wisconsin. He is the author of twenty-seven books, including Authentic Christianity: How Lutheran Theology Speaks to a Postmodern World; Christianity in an Age of Terrorism, and God at Work. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Kansas and currently lives in St. Louis with his wife, Jackquelyn. He has three grown children and twelve grandchildren.
