Luther’s Large Catechism

Many churches use this book as an essential textbook for their doctrinal classes.

First Commandment: You shall have no other gods.
Second Commandment: You shall not misuse the name of the Lord, your God.
Third Commandment: Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.

He descended into Hell; the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of God; from thence He shall come to judge both the living and the dead.
Third Section: I believe in the Holy Spirit; the holy Christian Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
